Information concerning the COVID-19 epidemic for clients of Health Insurance for Foreigners

(Prague, 17 March 2020) Given the current situation surrounding the worldwide pandemic of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, we would like to reassure our clients of MaxMedical Health Insurance for Foreigners that our insurance naturally also covers costs related to this new disease, including necessary examinations and possible hospitalisation.

The insurance also applies to tests to detect coronavirus if ordered by a doctor or a hygiene centre. However, we strongly urge clients to respect the government's quarantine regulations, not to visit high-risk areas, and to comply strictly with all state administration instructions.

At the same time, we would like to draw our clients' attention to the closure of our central office at Italská street 24 in Prague in accordance with the Government Decree of 15 March 2020, at least until 24 April 2020. Insurance can be arranged simply online on our website. Given the current situation, we advise our clients to take out insurance products with higher limits. For example, the Exclusive plan of Comprehensive Insurance covers possible damage up to EUR 150,000.
