(Prague, 16 May 2019) This year, the Maxima insurance company celebrates 25 years on the Czech insurance market. This smaller but dynamically growing Czech insurance company is becoming increasingly more prominent on the domestic insurance market.
The insurance company was founded on 1 July 1994 and during its history has changed its business focus and management several times. Its logo has also undergone an interesting transformation during that time.

The company’s shareholder structure has also changed over time. Since the last transformation in 2015, the majority stake has been held by Mella Holdings B.V. The company’s new business strategy brought new business opportunities, as evidenced by numerous awards – for example in 2017, Maxima achieved great success with O2 in the traditional Hospodářské Noviny poll for Best Insurance Company of 2017. In the Innovator of the Year category, it took the bronze medal for the O2 Smart Travel Insurance product. But the positive trend is best illustrated by the rise of underwritten premiums shown in the chart below.
